In the United States, the IBA residue of most Energy-from-Waste facilities is a mix between the bottom ash, boiler ash, and fly ash. Processing this combined ash is more challenging than in any other region we operate. The addition of fly ash in particular causes combined ash to be relatively fine and compact, therefore, making it difficult to process with industry-standard equipment. 

Blue Phoenix has created dedicated solutions that enable the processing of this combined ash. The advanced ballistic processing enables pre-screening and screening to the IBA without clogging traditional screens and assuring recovery of a majority of all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is our mission to help the waste industry to unlock the potential of IBA as a recycled aggregate, reducing the dependency on landfilling of valuable raw materials. The Phoenix stands for hope and resurrection, albeit a fictional being. It is the inspiration for our company, as we give ash a new life in the real world.
