Memberships and Certifications
Blue Phoenix is an active member of several industry associations in the Germany.
IGAM
Interest group of processors and recyclers of waste incineration slag
IGAM is the German organisation representing the interests of processors of raw bottom ash from waste incineration plants. The members produce the quality-assured finished product HMVA under external supervision in compliance with all applicable construction and environmental requirements. IGAM is the point of contact for ministries and authorities when it comes to the environmentally friendly treatment and utilisation of HMV slag. A particular aim is to increase the acceptance of resource-saving building materials obtained from slag.
Former C.C. Umwelt Managing Director, Dieter Kersting, co-founded IGAM in 2007 and has been Chairman of the Board ever since:
"HMV slag has established itself over the years as a substitute building material with many areas of application and is therefore part of a living circular economy. The use of HMV slag contributes to the substitution of valuable primary mineral raw materials in road, industrial and landfill construction, among others. In addition, valuable recycled metals are recovered during the processing of HMV slag. In the future, however, even more should be possible in terms of high-quality recycling: promising potential applications are currently emerging as aggregates in CO2-intensive cement production, but also as aggregates in concrete production. The utilisation of HMV slag therefore also holds considerable potential for saving greenhouse gases."
bvse
Bundesverband Sekundärrohstoffe und Entsorgung e.V.
The bvse-Bundesverband Sekundärrohstoffe und Entsorgung e.V. represents around 1,000 medium-sized companies in the secondary raw materials, recycling and waste management industry. This makes the bvse the industry association with the largest number of members in Germany and Europe. Member companies make the future possible - sustainably. They ensure that industry, trade and commerce are supplied with (secondary) raw materials, thereby conserving natural resources. Through their work, member companies also make an important contribution to energy saving, energy generation and climate protection.
Krefeld Climate Pact
Together with its initial partners, the Krefeld Climate Pact supports Krefeld companies in implementing their corporate climate protection measures. By achieving their voluntarily set CO2 reduction targets, the companies are actively working towards the goal of a climate-neutral city.
The first partnership meeting on 14 November 2023 at the premises of climate partner Blue Phoenix (formerly C.C. Umwelt) on Bataverstraße provided an opportunity for an initial joint exchange of ideas.
